Spider Webs!

Lovely summer day for a ride.  I called him to the gate and he came right over, partly because it was near dinner time and partly because I am Cookie Girl.  LOL.  He was sand/dirt covered, but looked great otherwise.  We headed down the road at a walk to the bottom the hill and then trotted and cantered back up.

Then around the prairie where we had a few discussions about prompt downward transitions, but he was very good on both lead canter departs.  You must be working on that, because they are very good!

Then into the woods, where the spider population is getting really ambitious and now building across the major paths.  I couldn’t believe it.  Between trees 8 feet apart!  Luckily I had the dressage whip and I broke them before they coated his face.  There were only like five of them, but they were impressive.  Spiders, don’t build across the trail, it is big woods! On the way home I took his bridle off and let him graze the ungrazed shady meadow – relaxing for both of us!

Munch munch munch!

I don’t have pictures, but then I gave him a shower and turned him out for a roll.  Nice night.
