Transitions

Charlie, being his fabulous self. He is the sweetest horse ever. I am convinced he smokes pot behind the barn when I am not looking.

Charlie, being his fabulous self. He is the sweetest horse ever. Though I do not condone it, I am convinced he smokes pot behind the barn when I am not looking.

Charlie pulled a suspensory last spring and has spent the summer recovering. He is now terrifically sound and back in work. That it is the very short synopsis of a long road. We are delighted to have him feeling better.

He is back in work and has been for several weeks. Today was transition day. We started out with walk halt transitions and moved on to trot walk trot transitions and went on to canter trot canter. He is getting more able to maintain his balance in all the transitions, which is fun for both of us. We ended up cantering through a grid of poles on the ground. fun.
